Dear John Street Club Membership,

In March 2024, we conducted a membership survey and we would like to thank you for your participation. The Board of Governors has carefully reviewed all the feedback received and we are pleased to provide you with this summary.

We received 37 responses for a response rate of 16% to our eight question survey. 

Overall, we received very favorable feedback (very satisfied, or satisfied) to most questions with our highest ratings in the areas of "Quality of Guest Speakers", "Opportunity to Network and Socialize", "Overall value of JSC Membership", and "Proactive Communications".

However, we have also identified areas where we can make improvements (i.e. "Avenues to learn and grow", and "Ability to showcase personal branding").

Based on the feedback, we have identified the following themes for response or improvement and have outlined the corresponding actions we will take:

1.   Availability of "SWAG" (name tags, pins, ties, scarves, etc.) is an important and recurring theme. We are actively working on addressing this and will provide a communication update soon.

2.   We have received some requests for virtual events (Zoom/Teams). While we understand the sentiment, the JSC is primarily focused on in-person events, except under extraordinary circumstances.

3.   Dinner events (as opposed to luncheons) have been previously considered and will be reconsidered in 2025.

4.   Showcasing a panel of young professionals is a great idea, and we plan to experiment with this during an upcoming summer mixer.

5.   A "speed networking" opportunity with senior industry leaders has been suggested and will be considered for 2025, possibly with a charity component.

We encourage you to provide any additional feedback or comments to me or any JSC Governor either in person or via email.  We are also considering conducting an annual membership survey each January to track our progress.
