Dear Members,

I deeply appreciate the vote of confidence by the board and the members. I am honored to have been selected President and will do my very best to lead the John Street Club in 2024.

The club is in excellent shape, and there is a fantastic team of officers, governors, and advisors. I am particularly grateful to past presidents Steve Robinson, Kerry Dunn, and Andrew Weitzman for their leadership through unprecedented conditions: “The Pandemic Presidents.”

Not only have we endured but we have flourished. 2024 will be our 78^th year of continuous operation – an impressive accomplishment, especially when you consider the many historical events of impact since 1946.

The John Street Club is the most prestigious risk and insurance social network community in the country. We have robust connections to the most senior executives in our industry; we reside in the heart of commerce; and we have a vast network of members who represent all aspects of industry demographics. 

This position offers us a great opportunity to promote, advocate, educate, and contribute to the health of the risk and insurance industry.

In order to keep momentum going we need to have constantly evolving goals.  This led me to consider our primary objectives for 2024. I have discussed these goals & objectives with several officers and governors. They are simple but meaningful:

• Continue the strong club momentum reestablished in 2022. This includes continuing to raise the profile of the club using various external communications methods including a strong emphasis on social media.
• Position the club well for the future through high-interest speakers, event attendance, outreach, membership growth, and opportunities for membership involvement.
• Improved cadence and depth of communications with members (i.e. publish speakers once confirmed, bimonthly updates via email or website or LinkedIn, meet our Calascione scholarship recipients, etc.)

The John Street Club can only be effective and successful through the engagement and energy of our members, officers, governors, and advisors. We are fortunate to have a terrific 2024 John Street Club leadership team:
